Depending on the basemap / style of layers in the project the location indicator can be difficult to see. Being able to customize the color of the location arrow would help improve visibility against certain basemaps.

Additionally, it would be helpful if the location arrow would respond to the map scale so that f.e. while navigating (zoomed out to a smaller scale) the arrow would be larger, but when more zoomed in it would remain small and not obscure nearby feature. Or alternatively another approach such as adding a "glow" to the arrow or making it brighter could solve the issue without having to increase the size.
