QField Use Directory as Project
Jonathan Chemla
Following issue thread here, it would be great for QFIeld to accept a directory in SAF so that there is no need to import/export.
Current workflows involve "packaging for QFIeld" on desktop, passing the files to android (either via sync or mounting the remote via eg RSAF), then import from folder, edit the project, and export to folder.
Note the feature suggestion is independent of RSAF/Nextcloud, I only mention these because they would be useful to access shared qfield projects from either a cloud location or Network Attached Storage SMB shares.

Hi, kind-of related, I would like to be able to open a QGIS project saved on a USB. Similar issue, we have large raster maps. We can airdrop or usb them to our phones no problem. But then the app requires the folder to be copied to the actual device. This chews up the limited internal storage. Our QGIS apps are massive. If QGIS could just use the files saved on cheap USBs, it would save copying them, save storage, and let us repurpose old iPads with limited storage for field use.
