Route Navigation
Claudio Inostroza
It is possible that they could develop the option to navigate a route using a vector layer of roads, this would allow Qfield to be used to reach a field measurement point in areas where traditional navigation applications do not reach. Current Qfield navigation only works in a straight line, the ideal would be to be able to use it to travel along my own road network.

Claudio Inostroza, while not directly answering to your needs, there's a new QField plugin that provides OSRM-delivered routing within QField: https://github.com/opengisch/qfield-osrm
It relies on an online service that uses up-to-date OpenStreetMap data, so definitively not a replacement to offline project data driven routing, but it's something ;)

Mathieu Pellerin, thank you very much. I tried the plugin, it's very good, it comes close to what I'm looking for. But the idea is actually to work with local data, where I can define a coordinate and reach it in areas where OSM has no coverage.

Claudio Inostroza I can definitively see a need for that :) I'd love for this enhancement to be picked up and sponsored, crossing fingers!
