• I work a lot with non-technical and non-GIS enumerators.
  • If we are collecting field data about an pre-existing geometry set (e.g. from OpenStreetMap), it's not necessary for the user to edit the geometries.
  • Often a failure mode has been where enumerators accidentally edit the geometry in the field, when they should only be editing the attributes via the form.
  • Consequently, project managers must go back and replace the geometry manually, then sync across to all users again - time consuming and error prone.
